I really enjoyed the conference and the learning experience. I was able to take home some value for my co-workers by presenting a combination of the flickr images, speaker slides and my favorite tweets. I even put together a presentation of the crowd comments (tweets) using Eric Meyer's S5 html theme at : http://aea09.pixelhandler.com/

I'm still absolutely stunned from AEA, as I go back through the scrawls I took and slides from each presentation. I've been working for a company of 3700 people for 16 months now and, no joke, I don't have a SINGLE person that can help me or challenge my ideas. For me to walk into a conference room with 200+ fabulous, brilliant, passionate web pro's was more than an honor; it was revitalizing. And the speakers ... don't even get me started.

I was talking to my boss about Kristina's presentation, which makes sense given that her job title is "Manager, Internal Communications" and yet our content strategy is ... well, non-existent. By the end she was saying, "so you mentioned that she has a book coming out?" Yes. Yes she does, and yes I'm making sure that we have a copy. Or three.
